CWA 1168 Nurses United - One of the largest health care Unions in WNY representing over 4,100 union members.  The Membership is made up of Health care workers from many job titles and various employers. The Union remains a grassroots organization fighting for quality affordable Health Care for All.

 

Coalition for Economic Justice CEJ - Works with religious, academic, labor, and community activists to improve living standards for the Western New York community.

 

Citizens Health Care Working Group - created as part of the Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act. The Group is charged with holding hearings and soliciting information from the public in order to present final recommendations for improvements to our health care system to Congress and the President.

 

Families USA  - Great source of health care data and statistics, as well, as information on Medicare and Medicaid.

 

 

Kaiser Family Foundation - Great source of articles, editorials, research papers, data, and statistics and reports on all things health care related.

 

Healthcare NOW! - A national organizational fighting for health care reform based on a Single-Payer health care system.

 

Physician's for a National Health Plan (PNHP) - A national organizational of Physicians and health professionals fighting for a Single-Payer health care System.

 

Cover The Uninsured - A project of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that sponsors "Cover the Uninsured Week"each year, and gives statistics and information on programs that seek to increase health care coverage.

 

AMSA Universal Health Care - A site run by the American Medical Student Association that advocates for access to quality health care for all citizens and provides some useful educational resources on the topic.
